Artist - Turisas
Hunting Pirates Mwhahahaha, it's finally happened, well it's happened for a while but I'm finally talking about it. If you've ever read one of my reviews, particularly by one about Alestorm you'll know that they recently have angered me with a song they wrote about killing Vikings, called The Sunk'n Norwegian. Well, I no longer have to wait until June to talk about the Sunk'n Norwegian to tell you fine people (and some creeps) that pirates are far inferior to Vikings. And who gave me this chance to vent my anger and support people who stopped pillaging a thousand years ago? Turisas. If you don't know Turisas, which I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't, Turisas is a Viking Metal band from Europe. They aren't like the average Viking metal band like Ensiferum, Amon Amarth who go for the growling approach most of the time they went for a ManOwaR direction with power metal like vocals and instrumentals. They sing about pies, sunshine and unicorns...actually they sing about pillaging, raping, evil Vikings...I love those guys. But this time they're singing about pirates or to be specific, killing pirates. Hunting Pirates is off their new album, Stand up and Fight. The album isn't anything special in the line of Viking Metal or Turisas but the one song that I really liked is Hunting prates. I liked it for 2 reasons. 1) I like Vikings 2) It was...good To be honest the only reason I liked this song aside from Vikings is because it's vikings killing pirates and Alestorm must feel the great wrath of the Norse folk as our might shakes the very ground and fire is tumbles from the sky above with the wrath of a thousand horsed chariot!!!...ahem...what I meant to say was if Alestorm releases The Sunk'n Norwegian we release hunting piratesor they release it and I talk about it. It's an average song and album, see it if you like Turisas if you don't listen to some Ensiferum Amon Amarth or Falkenbach or something to that effect and if you don't like Vikings, well...ATTACK!!! |
